Recent Reports from the Mission FieldCal Montenegro and Tom Howe traveled to Honduras in December, 2009. They ministered to orphans and hospitalized children. Shepherd Network was awarded certificates honoring the Lord's work through our missionaries to those in need in Honduras. We thank Olivia Savidge for donating three handmade quilts — they were given to children with cancer in an intensive care unit in Honduras.
Cal and Tom took the orphans to the mall – using your loving donations they were able to buy each child new clothes, much needed by all.
Christmas gifts were given to children in the hospital.
Prayer and music ministry brought joy into the darkest corners of the hospital.
We thank God for the healings and strength He poured out during those days in Honduras. Please join us in continued prayer for the people of that nation and for the Christians who labor there as doctors and pastors. Please scroll down to see more photos. Hope through Bone Marrow TransplantIn the coming months, Shepherd Network hopes to send one of many children who suffer with Leukemia in Honduras to receive bone marrow transplant in Colombia. Without the transplant, their chances of survival are slim. The therapy is not available anywhere in Honduras yet, but we are praying the Lord will use us to change that by accomplishing the building, training, and staffing of a facility in Honduras. Join us in praying for the many miracles needed to reach this goal. Photos from Our December, 2009 Trip:Small gifts and ministry of love bring a smile to a child in the oncology unit:
