Shepherd Network

Recent Reports from the Mission Field

Cal Montenegro and Tom Howe traveled to Honduras in December, 2009. They ministered to orphans and hospitalized children. Shepherd Network was awarded certificates honoring the Lord's work through our missionaries to those in need in Honduras. We thank Olivia Savidge for donating three handmade quilts — they were given to children with cancer in an intensive care unit in Honduras.

Cal and Tom took the orphans to the mall – using your loving donations they were able to buy each child new clothes, much needed by all.

We thank God for the healings and strength He poured out during those days in Honduras. Please join us in continued prayer for the people of that nation and for the Christians who labor there as doctors and pastors. Please scroll down to see more photos.

Hope through Bone Marrow Transplant

In the coming months, Shepherd Network hopes to send one of many children who suffer with Leukemia in Honduras to receive bone marrow transplant in Colombia. Without the transplant, their chances of survival are slim. The therapy is not available anywhere in Honduras yet, but we are praying the Lord will use us to change that by accomplishing the building, training, and staffing of a facility in Honduras. Join us in praying for the many miracles needed to reach this goal.

Previous Updates:

With great appreciation, we want you to know what the Lord has made possible through your generous donations. 100% of your donations go directly into our missions work. A team has just returned from Honduras and Nicaragua with exciting reports of what the Lord is doing there.

  • Shepherd Network has helped coordinate pastors to be spiritual leaders in hospitals throughout Honduras. Through hospital visitation ministry 240 souls have come to know Jesus in 2007.
  • An estimated 10-20,000 people viewed the ceremony in Honduras during an hour of TV time showcasing the new hospital ministry and the pastors serving all over Honduras.
  • Shepherd Network seeks sponsors for the newly annointed pastors working in the hospital visitation ministry. Only $250 a month will support a pastor and his family and provide for his public transportation to travel within his appointed region of the country sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in remote areas we cannot reach without their help.
  • Two pieces of land were donated to Pastors in Nicaragua for building churches.
  • Eleven pastors in Nicaragua traveled to meet Shepherd Network's mission team for refreshing and teaching
  • The trip would not be complete without the regular visit to the orphanages and the children we love so much. They send their love and their appreciation for your continued support.
