Jesus: Foundation of Shepherd Network's Ministry

The Good Shepherd: the Foundation of Our Work

The Good Shepherd is our Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior by whom we have access to the Father.  We have been adopted as his children and our spirit cries Abba Father.  Our Lord Jesus Christ had a ministry of love:

  • love for the lost
  • love for the sick
  • love for the poor
  • love for humanity.

Through that love, by the power and the anointing of the Holy Spirit, we respond to our calling to spread the ministry of love and restoration.

Missionary Teams: Reaching Those in Need

Our passion is also to preach the word of God and lead people to salvation, gaining souls for Christ.  The Lord has called us to the mission field in Central and South America where for the past seven years Shepherd Network, formerly Glory Bound, has been involved in missionary work.  We have met needs in Honduras, Dominican Republic and Colombia but we have an opportunity to expand into many other countries in Central and South America. We encourage believers to join us on short-term mission trips to share the love of GOD and serve those in need.  When you are serving others, the anointing and the power of the Holy Spirit brings you into a new revelation and understanding of the person of Christ in our lives.  You gain insight into the master plan of our Heavenly Father.  You see your position and your calling in His master plan. Each person who travels with us has been profoundly changed with the experience of serving on a missionary team.  Therefore one of our primary goals is organizing missionary trips and inviting saints from different churches and different states to have the opportunity to work on a missionary team.

Network of Churches: Apostolic & Prophetic Ministry

The Lord has expanded the work of Shepherd Network into an apostolic calling. At the present time we are working with 43 pastors in three different nations.  We estimate by the end of 2007 we will be working with 100 pastors in seven different nations. For the past three years we have been conducting pastors’ conferences every three months.  We work side by side with Restoration Church of Naples, Florida, as they train pastors and congregations through the International School of Ministry, ISOM.  Dr. Dell Oakes directs ISOM under the supervision of Senior Pastor Dominic Tomei.

We have been moving in the prophetic ministry through the years. There are multiple testimonies of prophecies given by Alan McLaughlin that have come to pass. The resulting testimonies have encouraged churches to move in the prophetic which is essential for the development of the church today.

Pastor Fred Esch led our extensive evangelistic work for the past seven years. Multiple crusades in remote areas brought many souls to the Lord. The creative works of Charlie and Sue Riger with twenty years of experience in children’s ministry have been crucial to expand the ministry and to truly understand the job given by our Lord to Shepherd Network ministries.

Operation “Rescue Souls” or “Rescatando las almas” is a hospital ministry that started in Honduras in January of 2006. Over 550 souls received Christ this year. We now have evangelistic teams in the major cities in Honduras who will be visiting the hospitals and rescuing souls from an eternal separation from Jehovah God, our Lord. Each of the new believers will be connecting with a church from the area where they reside; we intend to follow up their growth in the kingdom. At the present time we are moving to expand this ministry in Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador and the US.  We believe the hospital is a ground ready for the harvest.

Children Reaching Out to Children

Jesus taught, “the greatest among you is a servant of all.” Our vision is to show children how to minister to other children.  We want people of all ages to have an active faith.  As a ministry we have a commitment to bring the love of Christ into hospitals and elderly care homes in the United States and in Central and South America. Our Children’s Ministry teams are passionate to bring love and hope to kids that are sitting in children’s hospitals often with terminal illnesses and without hope.  But the love of Christ brings hope and Joy even in the shadow of death (Romans 8 37-39) “In all things we are more than Conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced  that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”.

Therefore our passion is to include children on the teams who visit hospitals ministering the Love of God on children’s wards.  This will bring a tremendous life changing experience to those kids that are ministering.  It will show them the joy of serving others and it will prepare them for a life of service in the Kingdom of God thus making a tremendous impact in the world by sharing the love of Christ.  They will teach future generations to have an impact to change the world. Our adults and youth are prepared to move from the sanctuary to the mission field to be most effective in sharing the love of God. The reason for our hope is salvation by the forgiveness and remission of our sins.  Forgiveness is only found in the blood of Jesus Christ that he shed at Calvary as a payment in full for our sin.  By receiving the free gift of salvation through grace, we establish a relationship with the resurrected living Christ.  Having been received, we are adopted as children of our heavenly Father, Jehovah God, through his Son by the power of the Holy Spirit.

From Cal Montenegro, Director of Shepherd Network

I’d like to thank Pastor Fred Esch and the prophet Alan McLaughlin for their many years of work in missions, my wife Deirdre for all the support and help through the years, my kids Nicole Marie and Ashley Elizabeth for their work and contributions in the missionary field. Above all we thank Restoration Church for giving all of us the opportunity to go into the mission field generating all of these ministries. The grace of God enables us to go to Central America helping those in need.
